In continuation from the previous part
My Previous post explained Ether through spiritualism, this post will explain in detail about Ether through Science, Universe and at last connecting spiritual and science.
The Thillai Natarajar temple at Chidambaram represents the fifth natural element - 'Akash'. Lord Shiva, represented here as natural element in the form of 'Formless Lingam', called as 'Aagaya / Aakash Lingam' (Ether). This fifth element can be viewed in both Spiritual and Scientific ways.
Science behind the Secret
Now let us go by science, What really Ether / Akash is ??
In Science, Ether is called as Zero point field. Zero-point energy (ZPE) is the lowest possible energy that a quantum mechanical system may have. The matter and force fields have zero-point energy. A related term is zero-point field (ZPF), which is the lowest energy state of a particular field. The vacuum can be viewed not as empty space, but as the combination of all zero-point fields.
Zero Point Field is the mother of all fields. It provides the ultimate holographic blueprint of the world for all time, past and future. It is this that we tap into when we see the past or future. This is key concept of Time travel, 'Inception' movie is based on this, will explain about it in the below section
All space is filled with this (ZPF) quantum vacuum energy. It fills everything and in doing so changes what we think is a vacuum into a space absolutely full to the brim with energy, technically known as a “Plenum”.
Ether is Nikola Tesla's fascinating subject, He used akasha for ether / zero point field (ZPF), He calls this 'Akasha' as luminous ether. Many of his discoveries have been stolen and patented in other westerners name, Tesla secretly kept some his work related to ether which is not discovered till now, he understood Brahman, consciousness and energy, he used many sanskrit terms like 'Aakasha', 'Prana', 'Kalpa' in his works.

Swami Vivekananda the first person to go to west to teach them about the Eastern practices specifically about Hinduism. His first visit was to attend religion Congress. As Swami Vivekananda continued his tenure in US , Tesla and swamy Vivekananda met, they exchanged ideas on various topics. Vivekananda introduced him to akasha / ether and he was deeply influenced by concepts of Siddhis, cosmology and philosophy, he was moved by the lectures of Swami Vivekananda and saw that as the future of science.
Fascinated with this cosmology, Tesla began to use the Sanskrit words akasha (all-pervading material of the universe) and prana (energy) to describe mass and energy in his work.
Tesla had recognized that all perceptible matter comes from a primary substance, of a tenuity beyond conception and filling all space - the Akasa or luminiferous ether - which is acted upon by the life-giving Prana or creative force, calling into existence, in never ending cycles, all things and phenomena.
Consciousness is a form of electromagnetic energy which with focused thought and intent can achieve extraordinary things. We have unlimited access to the radiant field of consciousness which is infinite active universal intelligence. We all have direct and immediate access to that ZPF field, which has been referenced by the spiritual traditions as the Divine Being. (Explained with examples in the sections below)
Ether was initially postulated by scientists as a medium for the propagation of light, when the scientists learned more about the true nature of light, the properties of ether became increasingly magical. But, in order to be consistent with the laws of physics, they viewed ether as, that it had to be fluid, so it could fill all space, but also solid enough to support light waves. It existed everywhere, yet was invisible, weightless, undetectable, and had no effect on physical objects—almost as if it didn’t exist at all.

Scientists says, "Ethers were invented for the planets to swim in, to constitute electric atmospheres and magnetic effluvia, to convey sensations from one part of our bodies to another, and so on, until all space had been filled three or four times over with ethers …"
Astrophysicists have found that only 6% of the universe is actually made of matter.
Why stars (27 nakshatras) are not moving part ? How it retains its position for several million years ?? For example, during Makar sankranti / Pongal (Mid january), sun enters into capricorn zodiac, how these stars are not flying apart from its position ?
There isn’t enough matter in the universe to create enough gravitational force to hold everything at place. So, which force stops everything from moving apart?
Scientist’s call the energy that holds everything together as Dark Energy. Dark energy emerges from the bubbling of empty space, a small effect that is also widespread, making it powerful enough to drag apart clusters of galaxies without ripping them apart from within.
Tesla about Ether and gravitational force...
Ether is something that boosts gravitational pull of stars and galaxies, it increases the flexibility of space time for the matter to have bigger gravitation effect than their weight. The presence of dark matter in the universe, vacuum energy, the velocity of stars in the galaxies are linked to 'Akash' / The Ether and it is not just medium of light.
To the contrary of Big bang theory, our universe is expanding. This is due to mysterious force called dark energy, that's causing the rate of expansion of our universe to accelerate over time, rather than to slow down. Now, Astronomers in the 20th century have learned that the universe is expanding.....
The Dark matter produces an attractive force (gravity), while dark energy produces a repulsive force (antigravity). Together, they make up 96 percent of the universe—and we can't see either. Astronomers know dark matter exists because visible matter doesn't have enough gravitational muster to hold galaxies together.
NASA data: It turns out that roughly 68% of the universe is dark energy. Dark matter makes up about 27%. The rest - everything on Earth, everything ever observed with all of our instruments, all normal matter - adds up to less than 5% of the universe..
Note that the answer behind the Chidambara Ragasiya is about Ether, the Universe expansion, dark energy, cosmos, and these concepts are still not understood by the modern scientists, which was best known to the ancient tamizhians.
To represent the importance of Ether, ancient tamizhian built this temple about 5000 years ago. The knowledge, skills and glory of tamizh civilization was consistently being suppressed and as a result, younger generations are unaware about the historical truth about the wisdom of ancestors and the importance of traditions. These scientific knowledge of ancestors are not recognised and thus falling prey for the fancy western concepts !!!
Now, you all know what Chidambara Ragasiyam is. It's an open massive scientific secret, it's an empty space, also known as ether, which exists everywhere, also known as ZPF. Akash - is the reason of cosmos and is mother of Quantum physics. When one realises the ultimate truth, then our soul and universe will become one...
But, why this ether is related to Lord Natarajar, an anthropomorphic form of Lord Shiva?
The world we see is 3-dimensional. Time is the 4th dimension. Our thoughts (or the mind) are beyond that.
Cosmic vacuum energy determines the space time geometry of empty universe. This space time is holographic, it can be accessed by the quantum process in the brain. It is the key for telepathy and time travel concept, through which one can make a minutes into lakh years and years into minutes. In the 'Inception' movie, the heros will go to 'Dreams' of other person and access information about that person, how did they go to dreams and access information ??
They take a drug / medicine, which makes them to leave their mind from their body, get into other person dreams. Dreams is the level where information about them will be stored, it is also called as 'Sub Consciousness'. They tap sub consciousness level of brain and gain information / data about their past and future through mind. During the period of dreams, minutes of real time is felt as several hours in the dreams. This is the Time dimension, which is not yet explored or experienced by humans...
Now, coming back to Lord Natarajar, when the time dimension gets shaped up, it will resemble the cosmic dance pose of Lord Natarajar.
Another significance of the pose of Lord Natarajar is, Lord Shiva’s cosmic dance symbolizes the interaction between the static and the dynamic energy flow. This energy flow contains five principles – Creation, destruction, preservation, illusion and emancipation.
Why did a great research institution like CERN, a world famous nuclear research centre install a statue of a Hindu God?
The universe consists of matter, we all are matter. Anti-matter is that which cancels out with the matter. It is based on this particular concept that the CERN has made a particle collider within their underground premises and are experimenting on colliding the subatomic particles at high speed to make antimatter. The cosmic dance or the Nataraja Nritham of Lord Shiva is related to the Anti-matter research done at CERN.
There is a reason behind everything. Shiva’s cosmic dance is popularly known as 'Anandatandava ', the dance of bliss and symbolizes the cosmic cycles of creation and destruction, also the daily rhythm of birth and death.
The figure of Nataraja is enclosed in a ring of fire which represents the continuous creation and destruction of the universe. The mass, space and time are enclosed within this cosmic ring of fire.
- Upper right hand - Damru [his favourite instrument in the shape of hourglass] - represents creation and time
- Lower right hand - Abhaya Mudra, which is his message to all, whoever follows the path of truth and righteousness will be blessed.
- Upper left-hand - holds fire, the symbol of destruction.
- Lower left hand is raised near his chest with his palms facing down. It symbolises the mastery of meditation and attained enlightenment.
- Right leg - on a demon named Apasmara, which signifies the end of ignorance.
Shiva has a drum tied to his trident which represents the big bang and origin or creation.
Shiva holds a conch bugle , which resonates at 7.83 hertz or the earth’s heartbeat. Astronauts don’t go into space without taking a 7.83 hertz field generator along with them ( 7.83 Hz is also called as Schumann’s resonance ). The buzz of zero point of field called om... Blowing conch emits frequency of divine energy.
The cobra snake on his shoulders represents raised Kundalini.
Cosmic dance is the interaction of matter and anti matter. According to quantum field theory, the dance of creation and destruction is the basis of the very existence of matter. Modern physics has thus revealed that every subatomic particle not only performs an energy dance, but also a pulsating process of creation and destruction. For the modern physicists, Shiva’s dance is the dance of subatomic matter, the basis of all existence and of all natural phenomena.
Popular scientist Carl Sagan was the one who introduced this idea in the West through his show Cosmos. He had said: "Hindu religion is the only one of the world’s great faiths dedicated to the idea that the cosmos itself undergoes an immense, indeed an infinite number of deaths and rebirths. It is the only religion in which the time scales correspond, no doubt, by accident, to those of modern scientific cosmology. Its cycles run from our ordinary day and night to a day and night of Brahma 8.64 billion years long. Longer than the age of the Earth or the Sun and about half of the time since the Big Bang. And there are much longer time scales still."
It is noticeable that Shiva's body is angular and thus, depicts Maya (An illusion to the eye, and in turn the mind!). In this manifest, all the forms are in the Golden Ratio of 1.618!
Ether and consciousness connection
Now, connecting spiritual and science in simple terms.
Ether - This mystical substance is everywhere and within it is recorded every action, emotion, thought, feeling and experience of every living being. It is like a huge database that contains a record of everything. Mystics have long suggested that this information can be accessed in certain states of raised consciousness and the data can be accessed for the future use.
All matter and psychological processes such as thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and attitudes are composed of energy. The human brain has direct access to the Akashic Field and the virtually limitless information that it contains (Inception movie portrayed this concept of accessing information). Thus Akasha can be described as a huge digital database that stores the records of everything that has happened and will happen in the universe

For Example: The siddhars of tamizhakam have attained higher consciousness, they excelled in science, technology, medicine, astronomy etc.
What to do you do after attaining higher consciousness, how it is helpful for the mankind ??
After attaining consciousness / achieved perfection, siddhars invented Siddha Medicine to save humanity in the world, they are the founders of Varma Kalai, the ancient martial arts & science and medical treatment at the same time. They possess super natural powers, siddhars perform telepathy so that they gets connected with the normal people's mind and provides them solution without being conveyed by the people.
There are some more examples to understand about consciousness...
1. Navapashanam: Ancient Siddhar Bogar made Lord Murugan statue which is made out of 9 poisonous minerals / herbs and hence called as Nava Pashanam. The amalgamation of the navapashanam was prepared through a secret process. It is the elixir of mankind.
How did they convert a poison into healing elixir of life ??
It was not made due to sheer human brilliance, a true wisdom of knowledge was gained from the universe (God) , which helped siddhars to make Navabhashanam. Siddhar means one who attained spiritual perfection / consciousness and the power to control the physical realm.
Navapashanam contains “high positive energy”. It also acts as a catalyst to awaken ones self. Siddhar Bogar was dated back to 4000 BCE.
2. Bodhidharmar: Bodhidharmar was a famous tamizh prince from Kanchipuram, Tamil nadu. He was also a siddhar, who awakened his kundalini (consciousness), to spread the knowledge, to create awareness among people, to help and to save the mankind. This is the reason that he left his samsara bhanda (family bonding), took ascetic life, he travelled across India and reached East (China). During a severe pandemic in China, his siddha medicine only helped the chinese people to get cured. He taught chinese people, the ancient martial arts called 'Adimurai'.
In chinese texts, it is mentioned that Bodhidharmar had supernatural powers, he had supreme knowledge about peace, prosperity and happiness to mankind. His text works stress about importance of self - realization / awareness / consciousness.
The knowledge, lessons and experience in one's life will be stored as an information in the universe. For better understanding, let me a quote from reference of a tamizh movie 'Ezham Arivu' (7am Arivu - seventh sense), they portrayed a hero who is from the clan of Bodhidharmar. In the movie, they depicted that through science they tap the DNA of a person and gain transfer knowledge of their ancestors.
DNA will have genes of ancestors, but how information will be transferred or gained ???
Through science, they tapped the ZPF / Akasha / Consciousness, gain knowledge of the ancestors (who are matching with the DNA) from the universe and it's then transferred to this hero. Inception movies showed accessing information at Sub consciousness level via dreams. This tamizh movie showed an example of accessing information, knowledge transfer from dead ancestors (it's not well explained in the movie). DNA will have only genes of the ancestors of seven generations, it doesn't contain knowledge of the ancestors, but will have the capacity / skill / ability to recreate, perform things easily that our ancestors did in the past. I have mentioned about the movie just to have better understanding of Consciousness.
This hero in turn after gaining knowledge of his ancestor, Bodhidharmar, saves the millions of people who are getting affected from the infectious virus diseases, which is spreading through air. This is the example to visualise that human is just a ball of energy, all the life experience and knowledge are stored in the universe. Once, we attain consciousness, will be communicating with the universe and access the ocean of knowledge about past, present and future.
Thus consciousness is not a myth !!! It was attained by several sages and helped mankind in the World !!!
How it works ???
In deep meditation, when waves of alpha and theta rhythms cascade across the entire brain, a resonance is possible between the human being and the planet. Mind is real and eternal. Matter is forever changing. The Energy and information which are embedded in the zero point field or aether field are transferred. The planet communicates with us in this primal language of frequencies.

As i said above, 'Chidambaram' means Consciousness of the Supreme. When you have the Consciousness, true meaning of ether will be clearly understood, our soul first unites with ether (Aakash), then with the remaining elements of nature. In modern science, Ether, Quantum vacuum, ZPF are neither completely explained nor understood, but it was clearly understood by tamizh people 5000 years ago. It is also said that Chidambaram is at the center of World's Magnetic Equator.
This is the only one temple in all over India, dedicated to Lord Shiva as Natarajar, the lord of dance. Also Ether is the substratum of sound (Shabda).
The earth and all the living beings in the world is resonating with the natural frequency pulsation of 7.83 Hz... called OM, the sound of consciousness !!!
