Maha Shivaratri - Part 2

MAHA SHIVARATRI - PART 2

--- Continuation from the post Maha Shivartri - Part 1
https://divinediyaas.blogspot.in/2018/02/maha-shivaratri-part-1.html

Maha Shivaratri is considered as important day for women, as married women will pray to Lord Shiva for the health and longevity of their husband and children, unmarried women will pray for a life partner like Lord Shiva, as Lord Shiva is being considered as ideal husband.

It is believed that on this night worshiping Lord Shiva and following all the rituals, will please the Lord the most, by pleasing Shiva, one will get rid of their past sins and gets salvation (Moksha). The story behind this festival is explained in 'Maha Shivaratri - Part 1' post.

Rituals Followed During Maha Shivaratri:

Devotees observe full fast on that day with only fruits and juices.

1. On the day of Maha Shivaratri one should get up early in the morning and take bath in a holy river, else adding black sesame seeds into the water and taking bath will purify our body and soul.

2. After taking bath, devotees will take Sankalph (oath) to observe full fasting on that day and break the fasting on the next day with self determination and seeking blessings of Lord Shiva to complete the Sankalph without any obstacles.

3. People who observer fasting will take only one single meal a day (withour, rice, pulses and wheat. Mostly will eat Sabudhana khichidi)

4. Visiting Shiva temples and performing pooja to Lord Shiva in the morning time and abstain from all types of foods during the fasting, except milk and fruits.

5. In the evening time, devotees will take bath again before doing Shiva pooja / visiting the temple.

6. Shiva pooja should be done in the night also. Pooja can be performed either one time or four times during the night.  The whole night is divided into four part to perform shiva pooja four times in the night.

7. Performing Abhisekam of Shiva Lingam using six important liquids has important significance of it. They are milk, Yogurt, Honey, Ghee, Sugar, Sandalwood paste and water.

    • Milk - is for blessing of purity and piousness
    • Yogurt - is for prosperity and family lineage
    • Honey - is for Sweet Speech
    • Ghee - is for Victory
    • Sugar - is for happiness
    • Sandalwood Paste- is for grace and blessings
    • Water - (mixed with Ganges water ) is for purity and peace
In addition to these Abhishekams, at temple several other special abhishekams are also performed as mentioned below,

    • Panchgavyam - It's a mixture of five ingredients Cow's milk, Curd, ghee, Cow's urine and Cow dung) - Removes all sins
    • Panchamrutham - Gives wealth. It's a mixture of Ripened banana, sugar candy, jaggery, seedless dates and dry fruits.
    • Cooked Rice (Annam) - Gives Majestic life
    • Turmeric - For healing, free from diseases
    • Bhasma (Holy ashes / Viboothi) - for eluding great sins
    • Rice powder - to free from all debts.

8. After the Abhiseka rituals, Bilva leaves will be placed on top of Shiva Linga to cool the deity. Usually, garland of bilva leaves will be decoreated over the Shiva lingam.

9. After that, Viboothi / bhasma, Chandan and kumkum will be applied to Shiva Lingam, followed by lighting diyas (lamps), dhoops (Scented cones) and will take Deepardhana (Aradhana using fire) for Lord Shiva and chant Lord Shiva's names 'OM NAMASHIVAYA !!!'

10. Devotees will keep vigil on this whole night and break the fast on the next day after taking bath and worshiping Lord Shiva, before the end of Chaturdasi Tithi (14th day).

Chanting Maha Mrityunjay mantra is considered as very auspicious on this day, followed by 'Lingaashtakam', ' Shiva Puranam', 'Shiva Panjacharam' etc.

Shiva's Maha Mrityunjay mantra

|| OM Trayambakam Yajamahe
Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bhandhanan
Mrityor Mokshiya Maamirtaat ||

Meaning:

I worship thee, Three eyed god, Lord Shiva, who is fragrant, nourishes and grows all beings. As the ripened cucumber liberated from its bondage to the creeper when its fully ripens, May he liberate us from death, for the sake of immortality.

Significance of Bilva leaves

Bel (Bilva) leaves are special and having importance in worshiping Lord Shiva. Bilva leaves area from Wood apple tree, this leaf is trifoliate which signifies Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Since these leaves has cooling effect, they are offered / placed on Shiva lingam, to soothe the heat of the lingam (Lord Shiva).

The three segments of the leaf represents three Gunas, Tamas (Physical body), Rajas (Emotion) and Satvic (Intellect). The center segment of the leaf is taller and more in ratio, (i.e) Satvic guna of this leaf is more compared to other two gunas, hence this bilva / bel leaves are having more capacity to absorb and emit satvic frequencies. It is believed that even terrible karma will be vanishesd, if offer bilva / bel leaves to Lord Shiva.

Consuming Bilva leaves will alleviates disease caused by excess of Vata and kapha.

Six pointed Star

The union of Shiva Sakthi merge is denoted as six pointed star, which is Lord Muruga (Son of Lord Shiva). This six pointed star symbol was stolen by pagans and many.

Lord Muruga in a Six pointed star

In some other states of India, there is a different story behind this festival 'Maha Shiva rathri'. It is believed that this is the day, when Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvati in front of Brahma, Vishnu, Saraswati, Lakshmi and all the gods.

Lord Shiva family picture with Lord Ganesha and Lord Murugan (Karthikeya)

Mount Kailash

Mount Kailash, the highest mountain and the center of the Earth, which is abode of Lord Shiva, where he sits in a perpetual meditation along with his wife Parvati. It is the pillar of the world and is located at the heart of six mountain ranges symbolizing lotus flower.

Mount Kailash is the most mysterious, secret, sacred  and  a holy mountain, Hindus does 'Parikrama' (Circumambulation around the mountain), a single round around the mountain (52 Km) equals to one turn of wheel of life and removes all our bad karma. In Hinduism, Mount Kailash is considered as paradise, ultimate destination of souls and spiritual center of the world. From this mountain flows four longest rivers of Asia, Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra and Ghaghara, stretches to four quarters of the world and dividing the world into four regions.

This Mountain is not climbed by anyone till now, whereas Mount Everest which is higher than Kailash has been climbed by many people. Nandi, the bull is the gatekeeper for Mount Kailash, there are many mysteries unresolved about this mountain. It is a cosmic axis and nodal point of Earth.
At 15,000 ft above sea level, it's a massive black rock of 22,000 ft height (6714 meters), at the foothills of Kailash there are 2 holy lakes Manasarovar and Rakshatal . Crescent shaped Rakshatal is the lake of demons, created by King Ravana to perform strict penance, to please Lord Shiva.  It is salt water lake with no aquatic species over there, it is stormy even in calm weather condition.
Manasarovar lake remains calm irrespective of the weather conditions, 'Manas' means Mind or consciousness, 'Sarovar' means lake, Manasarovar means Lake of Consciousness and enlightenment. It is a sacred lake and in round shape like Sun. These two lakes represents Solar and lunar forces.

All vedic symbols, concepts, science are stolen by west.

Khazars also used this six pointed star and no experts are able to crack the symbolic representation of Six pointed star used by Khazars

Shiva lingam around the world

At Petra, the civilization around this Shiva linga came to end, after it was vandalised.

Shiva Lingam at Petra.

The ancient shiva lingam found at Omsk City, Russia. It is called as Omphalos and worshiped by Ancient Greeks, Egyptians followed by Romans.

Shiva Linga at Amsk city, Russia

Omphalos is the powerful symbolic stone worshiped by ancient Europeans, considered as 'navel of the world'. Of course, it's our Shiva linga black stone, the seed of Human DNA fallen from space. There are many greek mythological stories about this Omphalos. This stone has been found in several places like Thebes, Karnak in Egypt, ancient Levant, Cuzco in modern Peru, Sumerian city of Eridu (Modern day Iraq). But, the one which is found at Delphi, Greece is very famous one and it has been kept in the museum.

Khazars worshiped Shiva Lingam before Judaism. In the picture below, Shiva lingam is wrapped by serpent, being worshiped with water.

Khazars worshiping Shiva Lingam

Not only in Shiva lingam and Lord Shiva, Serpents have been used in many ancient worshiping around the world. Like pictured above, Khazars worshiped Shiva Lingam with serpent around it.

There are some reasons for using serpents in ancient times as symbolic representations

Here is the explanation for that. It is related to Kundalini in Hinduism.

On this festival day, lets pray Lord Shiva, get his blessings and raise our consciousness.

Maha Shivaratri - Part 1

Maha Shivaratri - Samudra Manthan Part 1

OM NAMASIVAYA !!!

Every month, Shivaratri falls on 14th day of lunar month or a day before New moon. Among all the 12 Shivaratris, the one which comes on Kumbha / Phalguna month, when the sun enters into Aquarius is the most important and widely celebrated with devotional fervor called as 'Maha Shivaratri'. This year Maha Shivaratri comes on 13th February 2018.

Devotees observe strict fasting on this day, keep vigil through out day and night, chanting Shiva's mantras, performing pooja and worshiping Lord Shiva will give moksha to the devotees.
Lord Shiva, the supreme being, the cosmic allegory forms trinity with Brahma (Creator) and Vishnu (Preserver), which is represented by the Trishul (Trident) that he carries Tamas - Sattva - Rajas signifying Brahma(Creator) - Vishnu (Preserver) -Shiva(Destroyer). Tamas and Rajas are two opposing forces, like Anu / Paramanu which are connected through conciousness.

There is a small drum (Damaru) looks like an hour glass, tied to Lord Shiva's trident represents big bang, the Origin.  The sound of Damaru produces vibration, the cosmic sound of AUM, the earth's heart beat, frequency of Pranav Mantra OM that is 7.83 Hz which can not be heard by ears, but it can be heard by heart. Humans' heart and earth's heart resonates in the same frequency, Dolphins are attracted to the same frequency. Dolphins ?? Matsya Avatar of Lord Vishnu and that's the reason Hindus doesn't eat dolphins.

For detailed information about Matsya Avatar, reach out to
https://divinediyaas.blogspot.com/2020/05/pandya-king-satyavrata-and-matsya.html

The Vasuki snake around Lord Shiva's neck represents raised kundalini and opens third eye. Third eye signifies, self realisation. To activate Third eye of Shiva, our soul and body should vibrate in resonance to create a field, which is achieved through meditation, chanting mantras.
The Rudraksha mala that he wears around his neck contains 108 rudras. Rudra means Lord Shiva, Aksha means tear. Rudraksha increases wearer's aura and protects them from evil. Shiva 's Thandav dance has 108 poses, distance between Sun and Earth is 108 times of the sun's diameter, 108 upanishads, 108 marmas in our body.

Lord Shiva in Nataraja pose (King of Dance) kept in CERN, Germany

Lord Shiva is a cosmic allegory not a mortal / Aadi yogi. All the hindu gods, sapta rishis are cosmic allegories except human avatars of Lord Vishnu. All hindu gods are not explained well in quantum science that still needs to be explored.

In all Shiva temples, there will be reclining Nandi bull, gatekeeper of Mount Kailash, placed in front of the sanctum of the deity, with the head turned away from the deity but gaze fixed on the lingam / deity. In Hinduism, Nandi represents Dharma, faith, strength and virility. As per Hindu mythology, in Kali yuga, bull will have only one leg raised. As per our belief, by saying our wish in Nandi's ear will reach Lord Shiva. So, we go near Nandi's statue and say our wish in Nandi's one ear by closing the other ear.

Now, coming back to the topic Maha Shivaratri, the story behind this festival is explained below in 'Samudra Mantha'.

Samudra Manthan

'Samudra' means ocean, Manthan means Churning, in sanskrit Mathanam means 'to churn' . This story is about getting 'Amritham' (Nectar of immortality) and winning good over evil. Devas (Gods) and Asuras (Demons) fight with each other to get the nectar of immortality.
Indra, King of devas, God of rain, lighting and thunder. Once Indra Deva was riding on his white elephant 'Airavata', he came across the Great Sage Durvasa Muni and the sage offered him a garland given by Lord Shiva. Indra accepted the garland and placed on his elephant's truck, but airavata elephant crushed the garland by stomping on it. Enraged Sage became furious and cursed Indra that all the devas will lose their immortality, fortune and power. Due to the sage's curse, devas became very weak and lost the battle with asuras with asura king Bali, then asuras took control of all the three worlds.

Devas runs to Lord Vishnu, the preserver to help them from the curse of the sage Durvasa. Lord Vishnu offered them a solution for this curse, the solution is to drink 'Amirta' the nectar of immortality, to gain back the lost power and immortality. To obtain 'Amirta' and to regain the power, devas needs to churn the ocean of milk. But devas were very weak to churn the ocean, so they required the help of asuras to churn the ocean. Deva king Indra convinced Asura king Bali that if they offer help to churn the ocean, they can share the amirta as a result of their help. However, Lord Vishnu told devas that he would arrange amirt for them alone.

'Paarkadal' (The Ocean of milk), the place where Lord Vishnu reclines on Shesha Naga along with his consort goddess Lakshmi. Devas and asuras started to churn the ocean to get the amrith (nectar of immortality), using huge mountain Mount Meru as churning dasher. But, when the churner entered into the water, it kept sliding into the depth of the ocean. To balance the churner into the ocean, Lord Vishnu came into rescue and took 'Kurma' avatar (tortoise form), upon which mount Meru is placed to balance it. King of serpents, five headed Vasuki snake, which is around Lord Shiva's neck is used as rope around the mountain to churn.

Lord Vishnu had a plan and suggested gods to tell asuras to hold tail and devas will hold head of Vasuki serpent. Asuras got insulted as they have been told to hold tail, so they readily walked towards Vasuki's head to hold for churning process. Lord Vishnu's reverse psychology worked, he intentionally asked gods to say like that as the Vasuki's head portion will be heavy to churn and importantly Vasuki will spit fire venom, which will be hard to withstand.
Asuras got the head side of Vasuki and Devas hold the tail of Vasuki and started churning. As they rigorously churned the mountain , vasuki serpent vomited enormous amount of powerful venom in the ocean and it formed like thick foam layer. This Halahala venom is very poisonous, it will kill all the living beings in the ocean and it can cause the end of the world. They all were scared and ran to Lord Shiva.  Only Lord Shiva, the Supreme being can survive the power of poison and save the world. So, he took the venom on his conch and drank it up completely. Goddess Parvati witnessing this situation and pressed Shiva's throat with her hands so that the poison will not go into his stomach. Thus all the venom stayed there in his throat causing blue colour, so he is called as 'Neel Kanthan' (Neel - blue and Kanth - Throat).

Though Goddess Parvati stopped the poison by pressing Shiva's throat, little bit of it has gone into his stomach. So all the gods, sapta rishis and munis decided to keep Lord Shiva awake on  the whole night. So, on that night Lord Shiva started to do his Thandav, a celestial dance, to burn out the poison in his stomach and that night he kept vigil is called as Maha Shivaratri. So, every Maha Shivaratri night, devotees keep vigil and chant Lord Shiva's names.

Devas and asuras continued the churning process, treasures started to emerge from the ocean. First, emerged 13 Ratnas (gems), these gems were accepted by Lord Shiva for consuming the poison. Followed by Goddess Lakshmi emerged from the ocean, Lord Vishnu accepted Goddess Lakshmi, the god of fortune and wealth, as his consort.

  Followed by
Apsaras (Divine Nymphs) - like Ramba, Menaka are emerged from the ocean, accepted by various demi gods (Gandharvas) as their consort.
Varuni -  accepted by Varuna, God of water.
Kamadhenu - the divine wish granting cow, taken by Lord Vishnu and gave it to sages. The ghee which comes out of her milk will be used for Yajnas.
Airavata - White elephant, taken by Deva King Indra
Ucchaishravas - Seven headed horse, taken by Asura King Bali.
Kaustubha - the most valuable and precious ratna (gem) in the world, as the devas and asuras started fighting for this jewel, Lord Vishnu worn that as an adornment on his chest.
Parijat - a divine flowering tree, Parijat flower gives out sweet perfume which will never fade and has medicinal properties - taken by Devas to Indraloka (abode of Indra)
Sharanga - a divine bow emerged from the ocean, symbolic of weapons - taken by asuras.
Kalpavriksha - a divine, movable wish granting tree, which has numerous medicinal properties, taken by Gods to Indraloka.
Chandra - the moon, adorns Lord Shiva's head
Shankha - a divine conch, taken by Lord Vishnu
Jyestha - goddess of misfortune, opposite of Lakshmi, taken by asuras.
At last came, 'Dhanvantri', god of ayurveda (medicine) with 'Amirta', the nectar of immortality in a Kalash (pot).

God Dhanvantri

Devas and asuras started fighting with each other for the  divine nectar Amirt and started to chase after Dhanvantri and asuras snatched the Amirt Kalash from him. The divine eagle 'Garuda' which is bigger in size, snatched the pot from asuras and flew away. While flying 4 drops fell on 4 places of earth, Prayag, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nasik. However, asuras got hold of the vessel again.
Terrified Devas rushed to Lord Vishnu for help. Lord Vishnu realising that evils can not be made immortal, he incarnates himself as 'Mohini' avatar, a supreme beautiful lady, danced and distracted asuras. Mohini suggests asuras that she will divide the drink equally between devas and asuras.
Mohini distracted the asuras using Maya (illusion so that she swaps the vessel every time when she serves demon) and distributed among devas, they drank the Amirt.
However, two clever asuras Rahu and Ketu using illusion disguised themselves as devas and consumes some amirt. Sun god 'Surya' and Moon god 'Chandra' shouted to Mohini about Rahu and Ketu. Lord Vishnu in Mohini avatar, used Sudharsan Chakra (Spinning discus) and cut their heads in one shot before they swallow the divine Amirt.

Rahu is north lunar node and Ketu is South lunar node causing Solar and Lunar eclipses, as they were deprived of Amirt by Sun and Moon gods, they developed enmity against these two gods. Ketu deals with past karma and Rahu deals with future. In our tradition, before starting anything good will check Rahu Kalam, we won't start / do auspicious things during that time. Will write a separate post about Rahu and Ketu.

This is the story of 'Samudra Manthan',  depicting multiple symbolic messages like Good over evil, Like Devas and asuras (Positive and negative cosmic forces) churned the ocean to get amirt, we humans vibrate our soul and body in same frequency to get higher consciousness, self realisation is the ultimate goal of consciousness. This story is depicted in sculptures at many places,  Angkor Wat temple of Cambodia, temples of Indonesia  and many other ancient temples.

Shiva Lingam

In most of the temples, Lord Shiva is represented in the form of 'Lingam', lingam means inference / mark / symbol. The black meteorite stone that is formed naturally (Swayambu lingam) or fallen from space are considered as Lord Shiva in the form lingam and people started to construct temple around it. How do Indians worship black stone as lingam ??? If still anyone wonders about it check NASA, National geographic and Space articles for the same 'Building blocks of DNA found in meteorite from the space'. Seed of humans came to Earth from the black meteorite stone 'lingam', not a stupid theory of humans evolved from apes.

Black stone Shiva Lingam

Shiva lingam is elliptical in shape like an egg. Yes, Cosmic egg, Brahmanda, no beginning and no end.

The oldest river of Bharat, the origin of all evolution, the place where the meteorites showered from space, is none other than the Holy Narmada River. It is also called as 'Shankari River', as this place was showered by Shiva lingams, black meteorite stones from the space (binary star), the first DNA seed on this planet, all the pebbles rolling on the banks of this river were turned to lingams. Narmada river is older than Ganges, one who dips and baths in this river washes away their sins.
'Omkareshwara' temple on the banks of this river, is one of the twelve Jyothirlingas of Lord Shiva. It is located at the Shivpuri island in the Narmada river, the shape of the island is like OM symbol of Hinduism. The sand of Narmada river is very sacred, holding the sand will get your body boosted with positive energy, due to the presence of Shiva Linga. The lingam stones found on the banks of this river is very auspicious and called as 'Bana Linga' (Quartz Lingam),  Tanjavur Brihadhesswara Temple has one of the biggest Bana linga.

One of the Biggest Lingam at Brihadheeswara temple.

Many archaeological sites and historical evidences have been discovered, by the development of Narmada river. Bhimbetka Rock Shelters near Narmada Valley have been discovered in the late 1950's, is one of the oldest human habitation in India. It contains cave house, rock paintings created by man about 35,000 years ago. By the name, 'Bhimbetka', it refers to one of the five brothers 'Bheem' of Pandavas in the Epic Mahabharat.

Parad Lingam / Rasa lingam (Mercury Lingam)

Parad Lingam is considered as rarest and important lingam. Once Lord Shiva said to his consort Parvati that the one who worships lingam made out of mercury will face no diseases or death. It is also called as 'Rasa lingam', as lingam is made using solidification of mercury, in Tamil Mercury is called as 'Pada Rasam'. Agathiyar, the First Tamil Siddhar, a vedic sage, used Mercury which is widely used in Siddha medicine. During purification process, poisonous mercury will be converted into healing nectar, followed by adding gemstones and so on, at the end of the process mercury takes the shape of lingam.

Mercury (Hg - 80), chemical element is considered as Shiva's metal in semi liquid form and the chemical element Sulfur (S -14) represents his consort Goddess Parvati. The color of the mercury and his holy ashes / limestone are same, likewise color of turmeric and sulfur are same, mercury and sulfur combined together to form Mercury sulfide, which is called as vermilion and that is the reason why married women put vermilion in their forehead and Mangalsutra.  The source of vermilion preparation is cinnabar and its chemical formula is HgS (Mercuric sulfide). Also, the vapor pressure of mercury is high, sulfur is poured to absorb mercury vapor.

There are many variation of lingams at different places across the globe.

Jallikattu - Importance of Native Indian Bulls

Jallikattu - Importance of Native Indian Bulls

Jallikattu - meaning - Embracing the bull in Tamil. This post, will explain about Jallikattu, why it is being played in Southern India, it's historical significance and it's importance.

Indian Humped bulls are also called as 'Indian Aurochs', which is a sub species of extinct aurochs cattle breed. About 2 million years before, aurochs were originated in India and started to spread towards west during Holocene epoch. The scientific name of Zebu cattle breed is 'Bos Indicus', which are descended from Indian Aurochs. Zebu have humps on shoulders, large dewlaps and droopy ears. Today, we can see more of our native humped bulls in other countries than India.

In history,  these Indian native bulls are traced back to Indus valley civilization. These humped bulls were roamed during Indus valley civilization and it is part of our history, we could see the motifs of the humped bulls in the Indus seals which are excavated from the archaeological sites of Harappa and Mohenjo Daro. Thousands and thousands of zebu cattle breeds were exported to Brazil, United states of America and many other countries. But, we still didn't realise the importance and significance of our native humped bulls.

Kangayam, pullikulam, Brahman, Nellore, Ongole, Sahiwal, Red sindhi, Butana, Kenana, Tharpakar, Guzerat, Boran, Umbalacheri are the major Zebu bulls of the world. The large humps and dewlaps are the special features of native breeds. It has many importance which have gone unnoticed, i have explained the same in this post under Jallikattu section below.

Worshiping Bulls:

In Hinduism, the humped bull is considered as vahana (mount) for lord Shiva, it's also called as 'Nandi', the gate guardian deity of Kailash. In all shiva temples, we could see nandi statue before entering into the main deity Shiva. In our culture, it is believed, if we say our wish / prayer in nandi's ear, it will be reached to Lord Shiva and our wishes will be fulfilled. Thus, Nandi is considered as a medium to reach Shiva and also, he is considered as a chief guru of 8 disciples.
In history,  Worshiping Shiva and Nandi can be traced back to 'Pasupati seal' found in Harappa and Mohenjo daro sites.

Nandi in Shiva Temple

Now, let us see about Jallikattu...

What is Jallikattu ?

Everyone must have heard the name 'Jallikattu' due to its controversy in the recent past. Every year, Jallikattu will be conducted during the day of Mattu pongal (Second day of Pongal). The one which is held in Alanganallur village, near Madurai is one of the most popular event.

Why Jallikattu ?? Why to hurt animals ?? Oh no..!! poor illiterate uncivilized Tamil people !!! Huh ??? 'Jallikattu' is neither status symbol nor uncivilized manner, in fact southern part of India is the only one region where our culture and traditions are still being followed, only those who are already converted into western maaya and illiterate about India are thinking that Indian culture & traditions are myth , it's full of superstitions. Let me explain about Jallikattu now, in Jallikattu only humped bulls will participate for the game.

Before explaining about the science behind the game, let me remind you that this the day 2nd day of Thai / Makar month (mostly 15th January ) that is dedicated to native Cows and Bulls.

Jallikattu / Eru Thazhuvudhal / Manju Virattu

We worship bulls, we celebrate them and it's a thanksgiving to the Cows and Bulls of our family. In villages, we can still see Dogs, Goats, Chickens, Cows, Buffalo, Bulls as pet animal. But, more than all the pet animal Cow deserves special place in the house, we call them with a pet name and even include cows, bulls in our family picture. Even in temples, there is a place called 'Goshala' (Cow's place), where temple committee will take care of humped cows over there and prashadam for god will be prepared from that temple cow's milk.

Why to play games with bull ?? We are ONLY playing games with bulls, due to which humans may get hurt, but not the bulls. Jallikattu means 'Embracing the bull', not hurting the animal.

In Spain and other foreign countries, they are killing the bulls for the happiness of the rich humans. Does anybody question that ?

In India, we only had humped bull breeds, out of which Kangeyam and Pullikulam breeds are most famous for jallikattu, it is the game for bravery of a man, one who holds bull's hump for 20 - 30 seconds will be the winner.  A bull will be there in the game arena  for max 40 seconds.

There are many variants of Jallikattu, 'Vadi  Manjuvirattu' is renowned for mattu pongal,  during this game bulls will comes out of 'Vaadi Vaasal' with a high speed (gate through which bulls enter into the competition area). There are many rules for this game, the person who participates in the competition should be physically fit, at a time only one person should hold the hump, those who touch the tail, horns, neck of the bull are disqualified from the game, like this there are many more rules and restrictions for this game. First, Kovil Kaalai (Temple bull) will come out of the gate and the players allow it a free run, will not touch the bull.

Now, why this Jallikattu game is needed ?

This game is not needed for humans, this game is practiced for ages, in order to preserve our country breeds. How ??  Only with the genes of stud bulls, stronger calves will be given birth, thus in order to preserve the genes of our vedic bull breeds, this practise is being followed for many generations.

How do we have stud bulls ?? only by feeding food and maintaining them? Can we humans, be stronger only by eating and taking rest? Stud bulls should be agile, alert and virile. In the peak of the reproductive period, the necessary male hormones needs to be secreted, pumping hearts and adrenaline rushes.

When the stud bulls enters into the vadi vaasal with much force and speed, their testosterone level increases,  when the humans tries to control the bull, in a agile it will give back the force, due to which their hear pumps fast and hormone level increases. When the bull wins in the competition (No one couldn't control the bull), then it will be taken directly to the cows of temple for mating. As per our science, it is believed that after this competition, bulls will have complete power and the calves will have the best genes with more power and strength. Only our vedic humped cow gives A2 milk, A2 milk produced by our Indian cows are good health, where as the A1 milk from cross breed are toxic for health. A2 milk is having more micro nutrients and minerals which enhances our immunity system.

Followed by clothing and food, western diseases are also spread in India, due to several factors such as A1 milk, hormone injected meat and GM foods. Jersey and Holstein cows yields more A1 milk, but very less nutrition and also after few years, they stop yielding milk and not having enough stamina to give birth to calves, even if it gives birth to calves, they very weak, so it is directly sent for slaughter. Due to this artificial insemination from A1 breeds are making our native breeds extinct.

On a year, our vedic humped cows gives 3 times more milk than the humpless cows. One should not calculate the number of litres of milk in a day, one should calculate the number of litres of milk produced in a YEAR. Today Brazil is minting money by selling humped desi  bulls semen, which they have taken from India.

When we are doing Homam, we use ghee and Gomutra. The Gomutra of humped cows are having many benefits, it has been used in treating various diseases and also used in ayurveda . Indian humped cows doesn't need any antibiotics, it eats greens, water and does work peacefully, whereas the humpless cows eats and drinks throughout the day, falls sick and takes antibiotics, so it's milk is not good for health.

Why only humped cow's milk is good for health ?

Our native cows and bulls have hump and there is a unique channel (Nadi) from the hump till the backbone tail, that causes the secretion of purity whether it is milk, urine or cow dung. This Nadi will be there only in Indian native bulls. This channel is the secret for A2 milk and it is the powerhouse of purity.

Kamadenu Cow that we worship

After knowing the secret of our milk, westerners took many of our native humped cows to their land. They are now milking money from our priceless bulls, giving the best milk to their people and in return they have sent useless humpless cows to India, which gives toxic milk. They know the benefits of A2 milk, they are supplying A2 milk in their market with our desi cows and wants us to drink toxic milk to get diseases, due to which they will be rich with their pharma and health industry.

If this Jallikattu sport is stopped, the agile and stud genes of our native bulls will become extinct and as a result, we would not be having A2 milk, medicinal Gomutra and cow dungs of our cows. When native cows and bulls becomes extinct, we have to depend on foreign countries for their cow breeds to get useless A1 milk. This the main reason for banning Jallikattu and by tarnishing the truth of indian breed,  erasing the ancient sport from our history and stopping our age old traditions in the name of animal welfare.

Now, many foreign countries are drinking safe and nutritious A2 milk.

There are pre historic painting around 30,000 years old found in Bhimbetka rock shelters. The oldest rock art is found at Bhimbetka cave site, in Bhopal (Madhya pradesh).

There are seven animal capitals during the reign of Ashoka, from the pillars of Ashoka. The archaeological site is called as 'Rampurva', which is located at West Champaran district of Bihar, India. Rampurva bull capital is composed of lotus motif at the base and zebu bull on top of it.

There are many legacies about our native breed bull, In Ancient Egypt people worships sacred bull called 'Apis' , son of Goddess 'Hathor' , it is believed that 'Apis' served as intermediary between Gods and humans (like our Nandi in temples) and the statue of the bull 'Apis' looks similar to our Indian bull Nandi. Thus, it makes clear that Hinduism was there in Egypt, our tradition, gods , culture were mentioned in their history, but with different names. Our Sanatana Dharma were followed in ancient Egypt by Egyptian kings and architects.
